The Dutch Biesbosch is a nature reserve between the rivers Nieuwe Merwede and Beneden-Merwede and, together with the Brabant Biesbosch, is part of the National Park De Biesbosch.

A visit to the Biesbosch starts at Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht. A range of activities is organised from this visitor centre. Round trips with open whisper boat the Sterling, sailing and walking excursions with or without a guide, day trips and children’s activities. You can also rent a whisper boat or canoe to discover the Biesbosch for yourself. But Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht is not just a starting point. The centre itself is also a place with plenty to do. There are exhibitions, there is a Green Shop and a cosy reading corner, where you can look up information or play a game.
A museum (former pusher boat), from association “de binnenvaart” with information on the history of inland navigation and changing exhibitions. The boat has a fully restored wheelhouse and an inland navigation simulator. The museum has been located in the Wantij at the former De Biesbosch shipyard since 2004. At this shipyard, the ship was launched in 1963.
